The hottest
news is about our automation system. It's closer than ever. The
system should be in place by the new year. First let me give you
some info on the system. It's a computer controlled switching
system that changes from one program to the next. When the new
system is in place, it will not only eliminate the "human error
factor” associated with a “Manual Master Control,” more
significantly, it will allow us to choose our own programming
24/7
So what’s the hold up? The cost of the unit is around $25,000. I
know you are asking how did the price more than double? In my
last update to the KVBA news page, I mentioned we needed
$10,000. That is only the down payment for our loan. So, the
$10,000 only covers the down payment. The good news is we have
$7,500 given or pledged. I have written many ministries and
churches for help. We only have a very limited amount of time to
complete the purchase or the price could easily go up.

REPORT
Praise the Lord! as of September 19th KVBA is officially on the
Ruidoso Cable system. Thank you to BAJA BROADBAND for their
decision to add KVBA to their program line up. Already, KVBA has
filmed three of the Ruidoso Warrior Football games. When
basketball starts we will be televising 7 games. Coach Page, the
head varsity coach, has said that there are seven hot button
games this year. KVBA, your local TV connection, will be there
to bring you all the action. Check local listings for time and
date. KVBA is planning now to televise the Parade of Lights from
Ruidoso.
Pastors in the area have been contacted to be included in the
"One on One" inspirational program. Many have said they are
interested but as of yet no one has made an appointment for
filming their episodes. Sometimes it's hard to break into a new
area so please pray with us as we ask God for his favor in this
area. We never want to lose sight of the reason KVBA is here, it
is for the propagation of the Gospel of Christ. As good citizens
and an operator of a public utility we want to do our part to
bring events and news to our viewers. The local programming
allows us access into the homes and businesses and during breaks
we can inject local inspirationals.
Other immediate plans for programming from the Ruidoso area will
include:
The seniors citizen's centers from Ruidoso and Ruidoso Downs in
KVBA’s "Senior Moment" program
Weekly news from the Ruidoso Chamber of Commerce
Parade of lights as mentioned above
Other areas of interest are also being considered. If you have a
suggestions for programming please let us know. The more
involvement we get from viewers and merchants in the area the
more programming we will be able to televise. If you would like
to learn about filming and editing, please contact us we are
always looking for volunteers to help us film and edit TV
programs.

NEW PROGRAM
The Gift of God
Starts November 3rd and each
Monday at 6:00 PM
Promises is a new local teaching
program featuring Anna and matt Thornburn providing viewers with
everyday promises for their lives. Promises is part of KVBA's
new local programming for their additions of Christian and
family programming for the new year.
Exciting Time Ever

More great news:
We are working with Our Troops and developing a program to help
returning Vets from Iraq and Afghanistan. We think we can
come up with a classroom instructional and hands on training
program to help these returning vets move beyond there trauma.
We have gone so far as to hire a grant writer, develop a plan of
training and turned in a budget with a list of equipment needs.
The grant writer thinks we have a good chance of getting the
grant. Pray that we will be effective and see many troops
benefit from this venture.
