Spring! It’s about change- getting to play out doors- flowers- new growth- spring cleaning…

We are excited to share with you our version of Spring in our May Newsletter!

Enjoy and may you be inspired to start planting some seeds this Spring!

Why a missionary in USA

37% of parents who went to church as children do not take their own children to church

Want to Play?

Knock Knock- I opened our front door to see 11 year old Cody.

Bounding through the door he says, “Guess what?  I am going to church! Want to play!!?”  Cody is our 82 yr old neighbor’s great grandson who had just arrived 10 minutes earlier.  He, his mom and step-dad come from Florida every spring to visit Lola.

Last year when he was visiting he was very bored at GG’s so ventured over to our house and we spent the time throwing darts and horseshoes and talking about Jesus- whom he had little knowledge of.

We began to pray for Cody.

Shortly after going home last year a friend invited him to attend church with him!  What a blessing to see God answering prayer!

And yes, we did play!

New Life!

One of the most beautiful pictures, I think, in Scripture is found in Luke 15:20-24.  In the last 2 ½ months we have seen that picture come to life.  Because of events in his life, Robert decided he needed to know more about the Bible and God.

“And beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, He explained to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures” Luke 24-27.  The Stranger on the Road to Emmaus study did just as Jesus did- weaving that thread all through scripture of our need for a Saviour.

The final lesson brought together all the loose ends concerning Jesus and our need of Him

Robert was very quiet that Sunday morning as he was absorbing all that was being taught.

He shared with his wife Jackie a few days later that that final Sunday reminded him of a movie he saw years ago.  It was about the first explorers who discovered the Grand Canyon.  As they come across the grandeur of this marvelous scene they were stunned into silence at the magnitude of what they were seeing.

Jackie is excited about their now shared faith and the changes that have taken place within the home because of Christ.

Spring Cleaning

May 16 starts a new ministry to help couples spring clean their debt!  The #1 cause for divorce in North America is money problems. We pray as we facilitate this course over 13 weeks that marriages will become stronger and lives changed as they see how God’s principles can change their financial situation.

Change is in the Air!

March found us in Colorado Springs attending Body Builder’s Boot camp for a support raising seminar.  Out of the 2 days we came away with the goal of being at full support by August 31.  This is something God had been working in me and at the seminar Mary and I were shown how it could happen.

We will close down the tool sales business at the end of May.  June – August I will spend the majority of my time setting up and going to appointments with potential members of our monthly support team.

We desire God’s timing in all this knowing He has called us and wants us on our field.  This direction will put us moving to S.E. Colorado by fall!!

Well that’s our spring so far!  We pray your spring will be one of refreshing for you and that you will see the Father’s love blooming abundant in your life and those around you.

At the Cross.
